Taqueria Don Pedro
Don Pedro Branding & Website
overview
Taqueria Don Pedro is not your typical Mexican restaurant. A Pacific Coast fusion experience, you’ll find fresh handmade artisan dishes rooted in chef Ede’s native Acapulcan heritage. But their branding didn’t reflect that unique culinary experience. They needed something that stood out from traditional Mexican restaurant branding, while honoring their Oaxacan homeland.
We started by researching the Acapulco and Oaxaca region, diving into their history and unique culture. We discovered the story of Centéotl, the Oaxacan Corn Goddess, who is celebrated during the Guelaguetza festival every July. We immediately knew this was perfect for their new visual identity. We then added historic regional imagery to a vibrant Pacific Coast color palette to complete the rebrand, and created a new website to anchor their digital presence.
We love the new brand almost as much as their delicious Al Pastor and margaritas. Be sure to stop in, say hello to Lili and Ede, and experience their one of a kind dishes for yourself!
